States Of Matter
|
Author: Oliver Hyman |
Area: Physical Sciences |
Grade Level: 8-9 |
| Overview:
This lesson gives an introduction to the different states of matter and how to identify elements and compounds based on their melting points, boiling points, and solubility. It includes a powerpoint that explains solids, liquids, gases, melting point, boiling point, vaporization, thermal energy, solubility. Along with the lecture there is a worksheet in which students have to use their newly acquired knowledge and graphing skills to solve a murder mystery.
