Overview: HIV/AIDS, iChat, and The Immune System is a multimedia approach to teaching rather challenging material without risking student boredom, and without giving up teacher student interaction. Students utilize traditional storyboard drawing techniques to establish their understandings of an immune response, but then later take advantage of an electronic environment to solidify their comprehension and to dispel misconceptions that they may have developed over the years. Although in this lesson the subject material is HIV/AIDS and the Immune System, the technology is extremely malleable and would fit with any other subject area. Keywords: HIV/AIDS, Epidemic, Immune Response, Virus, Immune system, Immunity |
